The original St. Andrews Waterfront Farmers Market began as a community activity in 2004 at the St. Andrews Marina under a modest circus tent with a handful of vendors led by the aspirations and desires of the St. Andrews Community. The St. Andrews Waterfront Market was started as an economic development tool of the Historic St. Andrews Waterfront Partnership with a goal of improving the economic health of St. Andrews by providing a place for merchants to sell their products directly to the consumer, provide a quality activity center for the community, and opportunities to incubate small businesses. During the Fall of 2010, a group of passionate volunteers took the market on as a challenge and the market grew exponentially. The Historic St. Andrews Waterfront Partnership made an agreement with Waterfront Market Inc. in June 2011 who then assumed responsibility for the market operations under this agreement.
In September 201 the market outgrew the marina and expanded to the lovely boardwalks of Smith’s Yacht Basin, owned by The Shrimp Boat Restaurant owner, Loren Smith. In February of 2013, the Historic St. Andrews Waterfront Partnership resumed market operations. The St. Andrews Waterfront Market has returned to its roots to make the St. Andrews Community a much better place to live, work, dine, shop, and relax. The Historic St. Andrews Waterfront Partnership is working in cooperation with the Panama City CRA, the City of Panama City, and the St. Andrews Marina to bring you “The Market at St. Andrews”.
“The market is about what is best for the community of St. Andrews and our Board has always desired to make this event open, friendly and family oriented.” Chris Godwin, HSAWP President (February 12, 2013).
Effective May 7th, 2022 The Market at St. Andrews will relocate to its new home at Oaks By The Bay Park. 2715 W.10th St.
